Yeah teamspeak 3 Beta was finally released so we are using it. We are going to leave the old TS up for now because this is a beta and if it should ever crash we can go back to the old.

Yup no more ts2, unless the server crashes of course. I’ll be keeping the ts2 server up for quite a while anyway. At least until a proper server package for ts3 is released in the ubuntu repositories.

I really like ts3. Its sleek and simple, and crystal clear. Plus, I can turn rage up when hes too lazy to get his mic from across the room, and turn farmer down when he’s screaming his head off.

Beta 5 dropped yesterday evening. I’ve updated the server to it although most of you won’t notice a difference. You don’t need to update your client to beta 5 to connect to the server but, with this being a beta, it’s worthwhile having the latest version to get all the bug fixes and what-not.

The auto-update feature doesn’t work in the client yet so I’ll keep posting in this thread when new releases are available.

Apparently Beta 6 Server is a critical update.

Indeed it is. Server got updated this morning (fixes a flooding bug and some other things). There’s a new beta 6 client as well (not critical though).

Beta 8 dropped yesterday and it fixes a memory leak so it might be worth updating. The servers been updated to beta 11, but you don’t have to update your client to connect, so do it at your leisure.

humm i downloaded teamspeak but each time i log in it shows me an error message sayn that a certain file was not uploaded and that i could still run teamspeak but my settings would not b saved =( so each time i log in i get the same welcome message saying that i must create a user name n stuff. anyone had same issue?

Edit: humm nevermind that my firewall had ts3 update blocked n it didnt even advised my as usual so i just updated it manualy all good now

I had the same issue, downloaded the next beta, was fine.

So apparently the built in update feature works now. Pretty slick :)

Just a little note, I’ve updated the server to the latest version and there’s a chance if you’re on a very old beta version of the client, that you won’t be able to connect. If you update to the latest version you’ll be fine.

No, just kidding. I reset the ts3 server today so that I could get all of the avatars, file transfers and my license key for multiple servers working. It won’t affect any of you who aren’t server admins but you might notice the lack of channels!
