Pacheah! I mod more than computers.
I needed a place to brag about my skittles.
This little contraption used to be a Wild Planet Spy Gear (http://www.spygear.net/) long range listening device. I used it when I was a kid to hear through doors and windows, across the street, whatever.
So I found this thing the other day when my dad threw me some boxes of my stuff from the attic that he wanted to purge. I noticed it was a microphone with a battery, so probably an amp, and it had a 1/8th inch output. perfect. I ripped it out of its plastic shell and got it a more boxy enclosure and a nice knob switch I scraped from an old tv.. which now serves as a lamp. Its perfect. And on teamspeak im the sound of the ninetys.

Heres another mod from about a year ago.

This is a cooling station for my EeePc. Its seen better days. Its a funky piece of acrylic with a corrugated aluminum plate, with two 92mm Molex Fans. One is attached to the Aluminum, One to the back. Both suck air in and onto my laptop. One of the fans light up, so it adds a nice little underglow. The Molex connectors are pretty simple to convert to USB with a little soldering. I used a hub to turn the two usb cables into one. I plugged it into my PC so i didnt have to whip out the ’top
I also modded a TV into a lamp, an Xbox (orig) controller into a usb PC controller, and gave my bike undercarriage lights. Maybe ill post about them another time.
lol very nice, sounds like you have fun modding things!!
nice mods but im curious about that tv lamp got any pics of it?
